(Isaac really DOES love my kisses, you just can't tell in this picture :))
5:50am
5:50am
Isaac lets me know loud and clear that he's awake. He's ready to get up and start a new day!
The only problem is, I'm not.
His pediatrician told me that he should not get up for the day until 6:00, so I let him babble in his crib for a good 10 minutes. Then I haul myself into his room, scoop up my boy and give him a million sleepy kisses.
This next part is top secret. We then... head back to my bed.
That's right.
I have a pile of his favorite toys on my nightstand. Still half asleep, I proceed to hand them to him one by one. He plays, slobbers, crawls all over my face, yanks my hair, etc...while I doze and silently pray for just five more minutes of rest. It never lasts long, but I take what I can get. When his pleas for me to 'JUST GET UP ALREADY' have reached a somewhat fevered pitch I haul myself up once again.
This time we head downstairs. Paul is already gone off to work at this point and the two biggies are still sleeping. I stumble through the house with Isaac in my arms turning the lights on and we head to the kitchen where he crawls around at my feet while I make my coffee.
(That's one thing about this boy...he never strays far from his mommy. He loves me.:))
Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh, nothing like that first sip of the day.
Now we head into the playroom, just the two of us. We play and snuggle with all we've got. We build block towers, snuggle, read books, snuggle, roll balls, snuggle. We have lots of fun in those wee hours.
Here we are on one such morning...excuse the 'I just rolled out of bed' look I've got going on.
It's all worth it for this little sweetie. He is showing lots of personality these days. I don't think I've ever known a more sweet, happy, or content baby.
At some point during our playtime Caleb and Weston wake up and join us...
a new day has begun!
I'm going to leave you with some more pictures of the sweetness that I get to wake up to every morning...I wouldn't want to start the day any other way!
xoxo
