Goodbye Preschool...

The past couple of days have been very busy and exciting as Caleb had his last day of preschool and his Pre-K "Graduation"!

Tuesday was mostly a party day for his last day of class.

Here is Caleb, fishing for prizes...

Decorating his graduation cap...

And hanging out with his buddy, Garrett.

After preschool I took the boys to one of our favorite parks for a picnic lunch to kick-off our official summer vacation!

Tonight my Dad and Dale came down for dinner and then we all went to the big graduation. Caleb proudly toured us around his classroom and then we got to see him and his class sing a cute song. Hopefully I can upload the video later, I'm having technical difficulties with it at the moment...

It was a great night of celebrating our great boy! We are SO proud of him!

When we came home, we gave Caleb a little graduation gift!

His first shin-guards, cleats, and soccer ball! He was beyond excited. Even though it was already past bedtime, we let him gear-up and head out to the backyard to kick the ball around. He is going to attend a weekly soccer camp through our parks and rec. this summer, which he is really looking forward to.

He looks WAY too old in this picture! I keep asking him to stop growing.

Luckily I will have this little stinker to keep me busy while Caleb is off in the big world of Kindergarten next fall!

Not to mention a new baby..., but there's just something about my firstborn growing up.
I guess that's where the saying about "loving something so much that it hurts" comes from...

I just love my boys so much!

Sunny Days!!!

It's official...we are having SUMMER WEATHER! It was 87 degrees here today!!! I love it. The boys and I went to preschool this morning and then headed straight to the beach to meet some friends. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, but I have been taking some pictures of our fun in the sun right here at home.

Weston is always eager to help when it comes time to water the yard.

Paul and Caleb have been making some weather themed "science experiments". A windmill out of plastic cups and a solar oven, which turned some cheese nice and greasy, but wasn't quite hot enough to toast an English muffin.

I have been working hard to keep my plants alive. I love a nice yard, but I am definitely still learning what to plant where. Hmmm... maybe I should actually read the little tags that come with each plant instead of just buying what looks pretty and hoping for the best! I've actually improved quite a bit from last summer. One of these days I'll be a master gardener!
The warm weather has also inspired me to bake some yummy summer-time favorites! This is a
Brown Butter Raspberry Tart.
The boys even wanted to have it for breakfast the next morning...let's just say the entire thing was gone in less than 24 hours. What can I say? My boys like to eat...including the one in my tummy! :)
Which reminds me...for those of you who don't know yet, we did find out that baby number three is a...
BOY!!!
We are all very excited that God is blessing us with three precious boys.
We hope that you are enjoying some beautiful weather wherever you are!
Have a great day!
